Our Happy Place

Although we loved the main living area of the house and the proximity to the beach/walkway, the bedrooms on the lower level were very disappointing. They did not have adequate storage and we lived out of our suitcases all week. Bunk room would be perfect for children but the two other rooms need storage.

Perfect size house for our families and the location can’t be beat. We loved the umbrella setup (SIX umbrellas and FOUR chairs! We haven’t had that at any of the houses in the neighborhood. Total game changer). We loved the pool size and the gathering space on the middle floor. We loved how the showers held the heat even with all of us showering. We loved having washer and dryers on 2 floors was a huge plus. The negatives aren’t anything major but could be looked into. A lot of the lightbulbs throughout the house didn’t work and that included the pool light. The wicker chairs around the kitchen table are on their last leg. The a/c on the bottom didn’t cool two of the bedrooms (really only cooled the bunk bed room not the others). The beds in the bunk bed room need replaced. That’s really the only negatives we had and wouldn’t keep us from renting this house again. The positives far out way the negatives. Thanks for a great vacation!

We stayed at this rental 8 years ago and returned this year since the new owners added a fifth bedroom. We highly recommend this rental. Gated community with private beach. Since we were there in August, we appreciated both the included beach setup and the private pool. Even though several houses in the neighbourhood were undergoing renovations, we weren’t disturbed. We walked to Gulf Place to get coffee in the morning, lunch in the afternoon and shops and the farmers market in the early evening.
The first floor was perfect for one family, with a frig and laundry, play area and three bedrooms. The third floor was perfect for the other two families, with a laundry and two daybeds.
There was plenty of room on the second floor for everyone and evening entertainment.
Short drive to our favourite restaurants: Stinky’s, Goatfeathers and Local Catch.
The new owners are doing a good job of keeping the house fresh. We had a disappointing stay at the house next door two years ago, since it had six bedrooms, and there was a lack of upkeep and broken furniture.
This house is worth the price. You won’t be disappointed.

We have been coming to 30A for many years and this house checks all of the boxes - close private beach access, private pool, lovely views of the gulf, large well equipped kitchen, walking distance to shops and restaurants, beach toys, beach chairs, beach towels, books and board games. We also really appreciated the high quality appliances and 2nd refrigerator. An added bonus was the large outdoor eating area for our group of 12 with beautiful views of the beach. No need to bring your own umbrellas or chairs as the 4 chair/umbrella setup is included.

This is an excellent rental and location for a family vacation. We are not sure how we will top this vacation. The beach is only steps away and is absolutely gorgeous. We used the pool as much as the beach with the kids and grandkids (5 grandkids, 7 yrs old and under). We had the pool heated, worth the money. Coffee and eating places are a short walk away. The name "Our Happy Place" is spot on!

We stayed in "Our Happy Place" for two months (January and February 2023), and it was everything we could have wanted. The property is just steps from beach access, and has fabulous views of the water from both decks. The house itself is spacious, with three bedrooms and two baths on the first floor, like a separate apartment with its own living area. The two master bedrooms on the third floor are large and beautiful, each with very nice bathrooms. The main living area on the second floor is huge, with a well-appointed kitchen containing everything you need for groups large and small. Several restaurants are within walking distance, but far enough away that you will not hear them. In sum--you will love "Our Happy Place." Guaranteed.

We loved our stay at Our Happy Place. This was our fourth stay there, and we are always pleased. The private beach is beautiful, and the house provides the space we need. Plus, the pool is nice. Kim is wonderful and so very obliging.

We had a wonderful time at OUR HAPPY PLACE! It was the perfect location for food, beach, bike rides, running and exploring and groceries. We loved it and would love to come again! The owner was quick to respond to any inquiries when needed. Thank you for letting us enjoy your fabulous home!

Perfect location steps from beach. Beach entrance literally across the street. Steps from town restaurants & coffee. Two beach chairs set up daily on private beach. Great backyard pool. Excellent setup for two families with two master suites and three downstairs rooms for kids. East parking for 3 cars. Fully stocked with kitchen utensils etc. large common areas and huge dining table. Lots of shaded outdoor space. Perfect family vacation spot! Would definitely return.

We have stayed at many different places on 30a and used many different rental companies. I can safely say that this has been our best experience. Costal Blue was amazing because they quickly answered my many questions before we booked! There are usually always issues at any place we stay (we usually have issues with dirty bathrooms - but NOT here), but I can't think of one issue at "Our Happy Place"! The AC was always cool...the wifi always worked and never lagged...the water was always hot. We walked in to a nice surprise. Not only was there a washer and dryer on the top floor, but there was also one on the bottom floor. The walkway to the beach is literally across from the front door. This house will be our go to for group and extended family vacations!!

This was the perfect house for our group. Even closer to the beach than expected, and the photos did not do it justice! Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at Our Happy Place! The location is amazing with direct private beach access literal steps away from the front door. Everything we needed was provided including plenty of kitchen supplies. The beds were so comfortable and clean and two of the rooms had gorgeous ocean views. Our host was very easy to communicate with leading up to the trip, and during the trip no communication was needed because everything was so fantastic! As a bonus, there’s a great coffee shop and small shopping center walking distance from the house. We would absolutely stay here again!

House has the perfect location for Santa Rosa Beach area... great beach access, lots of things to do right across the street, easy to get to pretty much anywhere on 30A. The house is well maintained. Could use a few updates to the washer/dryer system and some of the dishes/utensils, etc.
Pool was nice - we had it heated and was perfect!

We had a great time at "Our Happy Place" Very close to beach and beach access which is extremely nice. Walked to have a bit to eat a couple of times.... Nice to have chairs at beach as well with rental. I would definitely stay here again..

We have stayed at other beach rentals but this house is definitely our new favorite! We loved that the home had two kitchens and two living areas, it worked perfectly for our needs. The house was clean, well maintained and steps to the amazingly beautiful beach. Kim Bellville was so easy to work with and quick to respond during our stay. She was understanding and helpful when we had a couple issues come up during our stay. Definitely plan on returning to “Our Happy Place “ again next year!

We had a wonderful time at this house. My granddaughters think this is "our beach house" since we have stayed there twice now. The gated community is very quiet, the house is fabulous, the beach access is wonderful, and the private pool is super. Love the family experience Our Happy Place afforded my family. We can't wait to go back. Kim is absolutely the best with whom to work.

We stayed at "Our Happy Place" with our extended family and it was perfect - a great layout for kids and adults to gather. The pool and pool area were fantastic and it was great having a lower level kitchen and bathroom right off the pool. Views from the 3rd floor master were amazing and I love the screens you could put in the doors to the deck so you can listen to the ocean at night. Literally just steps from the beach, it was easy to get back and forth from the beach to the house for drinks, snacks, pool time, etc. And the beach at Sunrise is private, so we had plenty of room to stretch out on the beach, unlike the more crowded public beach next door. Easy walking distance to several great restaurants, ice cream shops and shopping. Property management (Kim) was great, very responsive and easy to get a hold of. We have stayed at Sunrise Beach several times and this house was one of the best. We love this area of 30a, quiet and peaceful yet all the amenities of the crowded east side. We can't wait to go back!

Overall "Our Happy Place" is a great house, and we have stayed there for several years. The beach access is so close and the private pool is always a hit with the kids. The house is showing some wear, though (pool surfaces are chipped and stained, carpet in the bedrooms is stained and worn, no potholders in either kitchen). The bathrooms are recently renovated and are in great shape. The newer gas grill was fantastic. The porch and patio furniture are new/in great condition.

location perfect and clean

We escaped to Santa Rosa Beach in May 2020 just when the Panhandle opened back up to rentals. We rented "Our Happy Place" with another family and it was a dream come true. We needed the getaway more then we knew. The house and community couldn't have been in a better location. We will definitely be back and use Coastal Blue again! As for the property not getting 5 stars, it could have been a little cleaner, and there was no broom for us to sweep up our mess. The pool has a large chip on the bottom and one of our kids cut their foot twice on it. I did email this to the property management company as well. I don't want to take those two things away from how wonderful our stay was, but they are two issues that I felt should be addressed. We will be back soon!
